Privacy Policy

What this site does and does not collect — written from what the code actually does, not from a template.

Last updated 18 August 2026. This policy describes what OptimalDosages.com does with information when you visit. It is written to match what the site's code actually does, and it is reviewed whenever that code changes.

The short version

We do not have accounts, we do not have a mailing list, and there is no form on this site that asks you for anything. We run no advertising pixels and no session cookies. We run one cookieless analytics script, described below. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell to anyone because we do not collect anything worth selling.

Three things are stored locally in your own browser, and four outside services are contacted when you load a page. Both are itemised below.

What we collect

We collect no personal information directly. There is no registration, no newsletter signup, no contact form, no comment system and no checkout. We never ask for your name, email address, date of birth, health information or payment details.

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers process standard request data in order to deliver the page to you and to protect the site from abuse — this includes your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string, and the time of the request. This processing is performed by Cloudflare under its own policies, and we do not receive an identifiable copy of it or use it to build any profile.

We use one privacy-preserving analytics script, and nothing else. Our host injects Cloudflare Web Analytics into every page. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track people across sites or over time; it records page views and referrers in aggregate so we can see which pages are being read. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta pixel and no advertising or retargeting script anywhere on this site.

What is stored on your device

This site sets no cookies. It does use your browser's local storage for three purposes, all of them functional, none of them transmitted anywhere:

KeyWhat it holdsWhy
od-confirmed A timestamp of when you clicked through the research-use notice. So the notice does not reappear on every page for 30 days.
od-pep-sort Whether you last sorted the compound list A–Z or by category. So your preferred ordering persists between visits.
epmc:… A cached copy of the study list shown on each compound page. So we do not re-query the literature database every time you open a page.

None of these values is sent to us or to anyone else. They live in your browser and nowhere else. Clearing your browser's site data removes all three, and the site continues to work normally without them.

Third parties

Loading a page on this site causes your browser to contact four outside services. Each one necessarily sees your IP address, because that is how the web works. We have listed them so you can decide for yourself.

  • Cloudflare — hosts and delivers the site.
  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — serves the typeface. Google states that Fonts does not set cookies and does not use the request for advertising.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (static.cloudflareinsights.com) — a cookieless page-view counter, injected by our host on every page.
  • Europe PMC (europepmc.org, ebi.ac.uk) — queried when you open a compound page, to fetch the newest published studies for that compound. The query contains the compound name, not anything about you.

Outbound links to PubMed, to Amazon, and to our supplier are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to those sites unless you click.

Affiliate links and Amazon

OptimalDosages.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

The equipment links on this site carry an affiliate tag. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission at no additional cost to you. Amazon does this by recording the referral — typically using cookies set on Amazon's own domain once you arrive there — and that recording is governed by Amazon's privacy notice, not this one. We never receive your name, address, payment details, or a list of what you bought. We see only aggregate commission totals.

Affiliate links on this site are marked, carry rel="sponsored nofollow", and never influence which compounds are listed or what dose figures we publish. Our editorial policy explains how we keep those two things apart.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is in practice nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. If you would like the local storage values gone, clear site data in your browser and they are gone immediately.

If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights — the UK and EU under GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and similar regimes elsewhere — those rights apply to any personal data a business holds about you. You are welcome to make a request at the address below and we will respond, though the honest answer in almost every case will be that we hold nothing. We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

Children

This site is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The research-use notice on entry asks you to confirm your age before continuing.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Because the policy is written from the site's actual behaviour, a change here means the code changed too.
